Deciding he wanted to see something new and explore the world, Michael took his first step towards becoming a global nomad when he moved to Bali and took a position with Amanresorts, one of the world's most exclusive hotel companies.  He traveled throughout Asia extensively where he took in everything he saw.  His eye for design began to take shape with the ever growing landscape of modern Asian design.   It was during this period that his life changed, adopting many of the ways of the East, including culture, cuisine and style.
